PL450 MODULE
The PL450 module has two good quality clamshell sockets for 32 pin LCC
flash and eproms. Note that this module supports devices which are
also available in 32 pin DIL only.
In practice, the PL450 supports devices in the size range from 1 to 8M
bits and some smaller flash devices.
The PL450 only supports devices whose normal operating Vcc is 5V.
SPECIAL FEATURES
This module can either gang program up to four devices with identical
data or pairs of devices for 16 bit systems or a set of four devices
for 32 bit systems if two modules are used.
The PL450 also supports mask compatible devices and NV rams.

PROGRAMMER RAM CONFIGURATION
For gang programming with identical data, the programmer ram size
must not be smaller than the device size. For example, 4M bits
of ram is required for gang programming 29F040s.
However, for set programming a pair of devices with 16 bit data,
twice as much programmer ram is required. For programming a set
of four devices with 32 bit data, four times as much programmer
ram is required. For example, 16M bits of programmer ram is
needed to program a set of four 28F040s. As the programmer
is not available with 16M bits of ram, a machine with 32M bits
would be needed.
RELATED MODULES
The PL460 module has two clamshell LCC sockets for devices up to
27(C)512.
DIL devices can be programmed on the PL300 module whilst some
TSOP devices can be programmed on the PL333 module. The PL332 and
PL232 support PLCC eproms and flash.
