PL227 MODULE
The PL227 module is designed for programming assemblies containing Atmel Tiny or Mega micros.

The PL227 is fitted with four IDC headers so ribbon cables can be used toconnect to the target assemblies.

Each module can program four separate assemblies. Two modules can be fitted so eight boards can be programmed.

SPECIAL FEATURES
The PL227 can program DIFFERENT code into each micro controller. For example, a product using, say, 8 different Mega 8 micros can be programmed in about 22 seconds which is about 10% longer than the time to program one.

Relevant micros can be secured.

PROGRAMMER RAM CONFIGURATION
The ram size does not matter. Note, however, that if DIFFERENT code is to be programmed into devices extra ram space is required. For example, if four different devices need to be programmed four times the ram space is required. As always, no additonal ram is required if the same datais to be programmed into each device. (Gang programming).

TYPICAL DEVICES
Currently Atmel Mega 8 and Tiny 2313 are the only devices supported but almost any otherAtmel device could be added.

RELATED MODULES
AT90S8535-8AI, ATMega163(L)-8AI, AT90S8535-8AC and ATMega163(L)-8AC can be programmed by the 'stand alone' module PL231 and Tiny 26 in DIL can beprogrammed by the PL266.
